About the event
Theta Zeta Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated will award several scholarships to seniors graduating from public high schools located along the Mississippi Gulf Coast in Harrison and Jackson Counties. Scholarships will be in the amount of $500 and $1000. While all students who meet the general requirements are encouraged to apply, priority consideration will be given to those students who have participated in leadership and community service organizations and activities sponsored by Theta Zeta Omega Chapter of AKA, Inc.; students pursuing STEM careers; and students who will be attending a Historically Black College or University (HBCU).
Any student attending a public high school in these areas shall be eligible to apply for this scholarship if he/she meets the following general criteria.
o A graduating senior from a Mississippi Gulf Coast High School
o 85 or higher numerical grade point average
o 18 or higher on…
